PathWest is the only laboratory in WA to maintain TGA certification for tissue transplantation and similarly, is the only public laboratory in WA to hold AS4308 accreditation for drugs of abuse screening and confirmation.
Additionally, PathWest is a specialist centre for electron microscopy, thalassemia DNA typing, asbestos related diagnostics, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
PathWest enjoys the reputation for being the State's designated autoimmunity laboratory with particular expertise in immunosuppressant monitoring.
