PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA, created on the 15 July 2005 through the amalgamation of the pathology laboratories at Royal Perth Hospital, Fremantle Hospital, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, and PathCentre.
The merging of these pathology laboratories has created the single public pathology service in Western Australia. PathWest is headed by a Chief Pathologist Dr Dominic Mallon and Executive Director Silvano Palladino.
